We made plans to meet in two days, it gave me time to research some of the cars that were available so I had somewhat of an idea when Friday came around. Luckily, Keith kinda worked backwards than normal and had offered me the car I already had an idea for, and even found it in another color since my partner wasn’t a fan of the white. Everyone was very kind and worked with us patiently and gave us what we asked for, I didn’t feel pressured not once which was my initial worry. Thank you again :)

Worst service I have ever gotten.

Worst service I have ever gotten. Been coming to sunset for about 30 years. That’s done now. My truck is more screwed up now then when I brought it in. 14 months of getting jerked around is ridiculous. It literally took 14 months to get warranty work done that I had to pay for anyway because I was lied to by my first service advisor. He was fired. My second advisor unfortunately had a stroke. My third advisor did the best he could with my situation. If there was a negative star rating I would have gave that.

I had to call to find out the status at 2 pm and they had not even started. Why make an appointment? Very sad the servuce at Sunset has fallen so badly. I will probably take business elsewhere

Keith was super patient with me as I had no clue what I had wanted when I found out my original car wasn’t going to make it far. We made plans to meet in two days, it gave me time to research some of the cars that were available so I had somewhat of an idea when Friday came around. Luckily, Keith kinda worked backwards than normal and had offered me the car I already had an idea for, and even found it in another color since my partner wasn’t a fan of the white. Everyone was very kind and worked with us patiently and gave us what we asked for, I didn’t feel pressured not once which was my initial worry. Thank you again :)

Provides OK service but not great. Seems like the level of service has declined. I was not happy with the checkout service when I picked up my vehicle on November 14th. I was rushed, no review/discussion of work complete was provided. I spent over $1200 for miscellaneous service work and no discussion of this work was provided when I picked up my truck. The service rep was in a rush - I overpaid for this work because I did not get my 10% discount coupon honored. I am actually pretty disappointed with this last visit.

My check engine light came on about 3 months ago.

My check engine light came on about 3 months ago. Sunset Ford was unable to get me in for at least 3-4 weeks, so I took it to another repair shop where they told me my coolant was leaking all over my engine due to a manufacture problem, my car was undrivable, and that I would need a new engine. I called sunset ford and talked to several people who told me that my car could be evaluated in 3-4 weeks. I explained that I had no transportation to my job since my car was undriveable and they told me that my only option was to go and pay to rent a car in the meantime. I finally got ahold of a service worker who was willing to listen to my dilemma and helped me to get my car in and get a Sunset Ford rental car. The rental car coordinator was extremely kind and helpful. I was then set up with a new service coordinator (Jordan), because my primary service coordinator no longer worked at Sunset Ford. My car was in the service department for 3 weeks and I received no update during that time. It was not a huge deal at the time because I had a rental car, however it was frustrating as I had called Jordan 3 or 4 times and left messages with no answer. I then got a call on a Friday morning from Jordan telling me my car was finished and I had to come and get my car/return my rental that day. I had to quickly rearrange plans and leave work early to get my car that day. On my way home about 2 miles out of Sunset Ford, all of my engine lights came on and my car died in the middle of highway 55. I immediately called sunset ford and they told me to tow my car back to Sunset Ford through my insurance and come back within the hour to pick up the rental car again. I was ensured that any towing fees I may receive would obviously be covered by Sunset Ford, as the malfunction was clearly an issue with the repair that had just been performed. The workers who helped me get the rental car again were very kind and I drove the rental car the remainder of the weekend. On Monday, I got another call from Jordan saying my car was repaired again and ready to pick up. When I returned to pick up my car again, Jordan failed to tell me any details about my car repair until I asked what had been found. Jordan then proceed to tell me “An ignition coil had just randomly gone out on your way home”. I kindly asked if the issue had been related to the repair, and he told me no and that it was all “completely random” and that “he had no idea what happened because the service department drove my car for miles and miles”. I made it very clear that I would not be upset and that mistakes happen, but Jordan still chose to lie to me about the repair. It is very obvious that my engine had been reconnected inappropriately, or I would have made it more than 2 miles off of the Sunset Ford lot prior to my car shutting down. I feel very offended that I was lied to repeatedly by Jordan about my cars repair. I never showed any anger or disappointment in Sunset Ford due to the faulty repair. I understand that mistakes happen. I however am incredibly disappointed that I was disrespected and blatantly lied to. Honestly is always the best policy even when it feels hard to be honest. People will be much more understanding when people are honest and kind rather than disrespected and lied to.

Bought a new 2015 Explorer loaded with extras; about 40

Bought a new 2015 Explorer loaded with extras; about 40 k. The buying process went ok. What spoiled the experience was the after sale extended warranties. I sat with a different guy , listened to his pitch on a number of after market, offered by third party sources (not Ford or Sunset). I initially agreed to some and asked if I could change my mind with a day or two and he said “no problem. He ran payment on my credit card. I went home and read over the brochures. The very next morning, by 9 am I called the guy selling the extra warranty plans and told him I decided to not go through with any of them. The car sale and after market warranty plans took place on a Friday afternoon. He said he would take care of canceling the sale. It took numerous phone calls, different excuses and almost 2 months to get a credit for the third party warranties and then only with a threat of going to management It REALLY soured me on Sunset Ford. I told myself then I would not buy another car from Sunset. Too bad because other than the warranty issue the deal was ok. John Hesser.

Most of the time parts are required to provide good service. It took way too long to get parts. The unfortunate thing is my service was due to recalls. Once they received the parts they installed quickly. I need to go back for a couple issues that need additional attention. Hopefully we are at the end of issues that require service.

Male mgr wasted my time Female mgr and guy that helped me

Male mgr wasted my time Female mgr and guy that helped me with hubcaps was great. Oil changer didn't reset system, didn't check my battery, etc. I had been scheduled for front end alignment, rotation and replace air thingy for tire, oil change. Won't be coming back. This department was a lot better before the strike. Boo on you.
