Daily Rental Rates

Giving up your vehicle and coordinating repairs can be difficult. We understand that, which is why Sunset Ford not only offers a Shuttle and Concierge Pick-Up and Delivery service at no charge, but we also have Rental vehicles on site starting at $40 per day and vary up to $60 per day depending on size and utility. Our Rental vehicles comprise of only the latest models with the newest features. The hope is that if you would need to service with us, you have options to aid in a seamless visit. Call us or submit an inquiry below to check availability for your upcoming appointment, or simply ask our Service Staff when scheduling an appointment to help coordinate a rental reservation.

Is my rental covered under warranty?

We get this question quite a bit. Every Warranty company is a little different, but they all require that the customer’s vehicle first be diagnosed to root cause of failure to determine if the part is covered before issuing a rental vehicle at no charge. Safety recalls have their own posted parameters, each one being unique. Furthermore, each aftermarket company / extended warranty contract has its specifics on when a rental is covered as well. To get an absolute answer, please discuss with your Service Advisor at time of drop off. They will know better once your car is in and diagnosed.

Rental Requirements & Responsibilities

• Rentals are only applicable with an active Service Repair Order
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• Renter must be the same as the Driver and must be same as the individual listed on the contract
• No additional drivers are allowed
• Renter must have full coverage Insurance
• Must have a Credit Card in the Renter’s name (Debit Cards are not accepted, we recommend reaching out to Enterprise Rent-A-Car)
• All contracts require a $250 security deposit Hold on credit card in the Renter’s name. ($250 hold will expire within the parameters set by the Credit Card (VISA and AMEX authorizations expire after 7 days, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club, and JCB authorizations expire after 30 days. Please Note: Payment methods have varying pre-authorization time limits. Dealership may still charge the customer the pre-authorized amounts).
• No smoking, vaping or pets allowed in vehicles ($250 fee applies to each instance)
• Must return vehicle in same condition
• Driver is responsible for any and all Repairs – Sunset Ford does not offer additional insurance coverage
• Must return vehicle with full tank of gas, refueling charge is $6 per gallon
• Rental vehicles are not guaranteed to be available unless scheduled in advance and confirmed by phone with our Rental department prior to arrival.

Limited Rental Vehicles Available

While it is our intention to match you with an appropriately like sized and comparable vehicle to which you own, we cannot always guarantee an available rental vehicle will match your needs (Example: 6-seater, towing, or pick-up truck requirements).  A rental reservation at our store merely provides you with a mode of transportation.  Much of our fleet consists of economical sized 5-passenger SUVs.  If you have specific rental needs, please contact us by calling the Service Department and confirm availability or discuss alternative options such as other local rental agencies.
